Back to then, gods and deities are not so alien to the human as in our day. They had emotions and desires as we did. People could talk to them, argue with them and enter into agreement with them. Today, many of us study ancient myths as a cultural phenomenon of the primitive societies, ignoring the truth of the gods and deities that the myths told us because it is not scientific. But if we look at myths in a less western scientific way, we are able to learn a lot of knowledge of gods and heaven from the myths.
After the myth era, several saints were born in some ancient civilizations, like Abraham in Mesopotamia, Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, Muhammad in Saudi Arabia, Sakyamuni in Kapilavastū, and founded great religions with purpose of refreshing the social culture and morality. These saints have been believed either to be prophets or sons of the gods. The religions, unlike myths, talk about both gods and human world and tell people how to behave in the society. So from religion we can both learn things about heavenly and the mundane world.
Philosophers refuse to take the convictions which myths and religions offer and aim to build them on their own. Many philosophers are smart enough to destruct their ideas of the past thinkers, but not sufficiently intelligent to construct a new one. The great modern western philosophers destructed the Christianity but had not the ability to build a better one, a better philosophy or religion or philosophy-like religion for ordinary people to believe in. The result is many people today have nothing to believe in except the material and ways to getting and consuming them. That is the problem of the modern western philosophy and the modern world today.
Myths, religion and philosophy constitute together our human knowledge of the world, the paradise as well as ourselves. Philosophy is the best way of finding the mundane truth, myths the heavenly truth, religion lies in between. Taking their conceptions in the broadest sense, their names are exchangeable. Our mission is to take the past intelligent ideas and thinking in to consideration and build a new school of knowledge for people to know the truth and to believe in.
